Maine Cheese Competition

Annual Maine Cheese Competition

What better way to showcase and celebrate the fine cheesemakers in our community than through some friendly competition? Cheeses from around the state have been anonymously judged by experts on their appearance, texture, consistency, and taste. You’ll hear the winners announced – and can taste what the best-in-Maine-cheese has to offer.

The winners of the Annual MaineCheese Competition are announced on the afternoon of every Cheese Festival.

Calling all Maine licensed cheesemakers!  Think your cheese is award-worthy? Enter the 6th Annual Maine Cheese Awards and showcase your craftsmanship alongside the best cheesemakers in the state!  Apply today! (Entry deadline Sunday, Aug. 30th).
